Abstract: A complex system consists of dynamic entities who play several roles. Modeling such a complex system as a conventional network is often insufficient to understand its properties comprehensively. To understand the underlying dynamics of a large scale system it is often necessary to look at the system from the point of view of interacting networks or Multiplex Network. Research in multiplex networks is an emerging field in network analysis and many real world networks have only been studied as single networks instead of interacting growing networks. In this work we establish that two popular real world social networks behave as multiplex networks and exhibit collaborative behaviour. We also show that interaction between two active entities in one network can influence its counterpart in another network. We finally establish that two rapidly growing networks, although having different individual properties, mutually depend on each other in terms of generating new interaction patterns.
