Abstract: An all-optical packet power equalizer is proposed using nonlinear micro ring resonator loaded Mach-Zehnder interferometer structure (MRR-MZI). Using the optimized parameters of the MRR-MZI structure, the optical packets experiencing 7 dB peak power variation have been equalized. The power equalization capability of both symmetric and asymmetric configurations of MRR-MZI has been demonstrated using detailed numerical simulation.
